My story

« Actually, the best gift that you could've given her

was a lifetime of adventures. »
- Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

A story of passions

Kim was born in Quebec to two French parents, giving her the official dual nationality, but also the cultural and linguistic one.

Kim studied Arts and Literature with a specialization in Theater at CEGEP, and Theater Education at university. She obtained her teaching license from UQAM in 2009, excelling on the mandatory written French test for future teachers.

Afterwards, she will for a long time keep one foot in the teaching field, and the rest of her body in the artistic world.

Enseignement

Toujours avide de nouveaux défis,

elle enseigne tant au primaire qu’au secondaire.

Principalement en adaptation scolaire,

mais au régulier aussi.

L’art dramatique, un peu ;

mais le français, surtout.

D’abord à Montréal,

puis dans les Cantons-de-l’Est.

Theatre, improv, comedy, writing, and more

While in Montreal, she kept performing theatre and improv, but also explored songwriting by self-producing an EP, and eventually added comedy to her long list of passions.

After taking several classes at l'École nationale de l'humour (National School of Comedy), she went on to perform stand-up at various events and on CIBL radio where she held a comedy column. She also created two comedy and improvisation recurring shows in Montreal.

Since 2014, Kim has never stopped writing, notably on her personal blog or other platforms (Yulorama, BlogueLife, Les nerdz).

In 2020, one of her texts was selected for the Prix du Récit Radio-Canada, a national writing competition.

Kim is also very interested in everything related to personal growth, wellness and living in harmony with others. She will thus complete a degree in Philosophy for children — which studies critical thinking abilities and constructive dialogue — in 2021.

Freelance

In 2022, she left teaching for good to devote herself to her freelance career as a writer, copyeditor and translator. She also takes on some voice-over jobs for fun and continues to do improv.

Her multiple experiences, knowledge, and skills are all strings to her bow that make her a versatile, competent, reliable and autonomous worker.
